usually I'm using Jcreator for developing JAVA application but for applet Jcreator cannot run it, it says some kind of missing in "main", right now I'm using Textpad 4.7 to run applet, can anyone teach me how to run JAVA applet in Jcreator 3.10 LE?

Hmm... well from what i remember, you can't. Jcreator can only internally run Java applications, whose classes are called and executed in the "main" area (think of it as the equivalent for init in applets)

What you have to do is ot externally creating an html documment that will load up your applet and then check it in your browser.

oh? Jcreator cannot run applet? that's too bad... Is there any other Compiler that can run applet other than textpad 4.7?

Well, I dunno if Eclipse can do it, but its advocates say that Eclipse is the best thing since sliced bread so it must be able :)

i give u one alternatives. try out the java beginner.
but it's not as easy as JCreator, since we never try it b4.
I just try it last week, coz i got school asg also.

You can use eclipse or use Sun's appletviewer. Or use any java-enabled browser, which is probably the most real-live scenario for an applet.
