How to open 2 copies of window media player?

No matter how many times i click on the window media player .exe file,it will open only one copy.Could someone plz tell me how to open more than 1 copy?

Btw, what kind of software will allow me to convert .dat file to .avi file?


p/s the current version of media player im using is version 7.

under the preferences or whatever, try to find the option that allows you to open a new file in a new window. i think thatll cover the multiple instances.

Thanks. But it is either no such option or i dont know where to find it :(

This new version is abit different than the older version,i do remember the older version allow me to open multiple windows by changing some setting in the preferences, but i am unable to find the same option in this new version. :(
well, i found this at microsoft homepage :

Windows Media Player 7 and 7.1 do not have the option to open a player for more than one multimedia item at a time. This behavior is by design.
