Hi, congrats for your forum ;)

My question is how I can make a working rebuilt PSX CD. It's actually a challenge for me: I have a friend that have the 3 only files on FFVIII PAL Dsic 2 (Spanish ver). Since i got the originall retail version of thta game, I open it with IsoBuster and made a filelist.txt (on ISO label -> generate filelist) Why? Because now I have the correct LBA and I can directly open it on the freeware PSX CDGen. Now I try to compile the PSX image with the appropiate option so after a few a rebuilt cue/bin image has been generated. It's possible to emulate it with Daemon Tools, also wih IsoBuster. The file's LBA looks OK, but not the TOC, which it's actually smaller than the original one. I thought it was not a problem since I have done similar ways with PS2 games and work fine. Unfortunately, no emulator can run it: ePSXe crashes, and PSXeven shows an error like "hight cpu latency detected etc".

The "filelist.txt" from FFVIII Disc 2 PAL (Spanish):
0000826 , E:\FF8DISC2.IMG
0000024 , E:\SLES_120.84
0000023 , E:\SYSTEM.CNF
I hope you can help me, thanks in advance :)

are you trying to say that your trying to remake a version of FF7 with files from a different version of FF7?

No, as you can see I was talking about FVIII (Final Fantasy 8), actually I'm trying to make a working rebuilt version with the 3 files of Disc 2. Every file it's from the same version (PAL Spanish), the reason to make it it's becuase for some weird reason a friend of mine got the 3 files already extracted from the CD or Iso image.

I said that a friend got the 3 files that usually are into the retail CD or ISO compilation, but separately, I mean already extracted. As it's easy to do for PS2, I tried to rebuild the PSX FFVIII CD2 PAL PSX to an ISO and tell my friend the way I made it working. I used PSX CDGen but have no luck. I mean it was a challenge for me and a solution for my friend

OK, but it's possible to rebuild PS2 CD & DVD images, and they're also protected, isn't it? I suppose it's not the same to create a CD image from scratch as I want than mod an actual one.

That's why I used PSX CDGen, as well as the PS2 version on that console, because it can create rebuilt CD readable on the real PSX without any "hardware help" ;). The sectors you're talking about should be the subchannel data I think.

CDMage? might worth to try out, thank you :)
