This is really a general PSX PS1 game question.

Do some games show a different menu depending on whether the PS1 is connected to another PS1 for netplay? ie will the Multiplayer menu/option appear for some games if the PS1 is in netplay mode?

I am curious whether games such as:

Theme Hospital
Syndicate Wars

etc.

have multiplayer. I tried running it in ePSXe with CyberPad (netplay) (NGEmu - Plugins) but not sure if it works.

Unsure. Typically, netplay in ePSXe would be akin to the "normal" 2-players mode, like in Tekken (the analogy to realworld would be 2 players with 2 pads connected to a single PS1).

Ah, so you mean the plugins only just let the 2 player work with 2 remote machines... on a virtual 1 PSX... like 2 people at 1 PSX.

Hmm..... I think there's one definite game that supports 2 PSX joined... and that is Wipeout... so I gotta check it out.
