I don't set a price, I either do it for free or let the client set the price. It's worked out rather well ($40 for each of the last two visits I've done :p). I don't mind doing it for free because I think it's fun to fix the computer and to see it operating at its peak, which is good enough for me :).

I do the same thing too :p. I volunteer a LOT of time working on the school computers (4th period and usually my lunch time as well) and sometimes I stay after school for an hour or two to finish up some work, like today (90 mins after school); not to mention that working on the computers is my 0 period class as well. If I'm working on a teacher's computer during lunch they usually feel bad for taking that time up but I don't really care :p.
