how many processes you have running after booting windows?

im just curios, i do normally dont have more than 20 but i want to see how much can there be :p

19 usually.. MSN puts itself on startup everytime I open it though, so sometimes 20. -_-

Let's just say I gave up on Windows and I'm looking forward to a new Intsallation :p So when I so a fresh install, I'll make sure it is nice and clean :)

10 proccesses? is that even possible? i can understand u stop many services or whatever but, god, its just so... small lol i guess ur memory is used only by 45mb right? :-I

That's without running anything after a clean boot. I usually end up having 12-16 processes running after a little while. Some services get started up depending on what I'm doing with my computer at the time. It varies.:)

Wow what system process do you guys stop? I think if you have more than one page of non-system process's something is wrong.

Keep in mind that all the applications you run also run as processes. So say you have IE or Firefox running as well as Winamp, AIM, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Outlook Express or Thunderbird, maybe mIRC, perhpas even a game. That's like 8 or so more processes. It can easily go over 1 page on a system which has not been tweaked. (Like mine)

Yeah i get around 12 to 15 after a boot. I disabled most stuff in services.msc. U can really notice the speed increase after i done so.

21 processes, it's the services + rainlendar and avg free (2 processes)

normally 22. AntiVir and Sygate takes up 4 of them. Once I get my Samurize config up, it will probably be around 25
