For personal backups, choose nothing but CloneCD, if your drive supports RAW DAO (or, in some cases, RAW SAO)....

CloneCD 3.x now is completely uncrippled during the trial, but now it's time-limited, I think it was 21 days....

get the 2.8.5.2 one then..
i cant remember exactly what the limiting factor was tho. it might be a burning speed limit like cdrwin..

Another legal concept: would it be illegal if I didn't register and still used it for quite a while? It just says a "reasonable" trial time. What would be considered reasonable?

the thing is
do you want to burn every cd at 2x???
for example
(this is just mathamatical not practicle)
if it takes 30 minutes to burn at 2x
it'll take 15 minutes to burn at 4x saving you 15 minutes
it'll take about 8 minutes to burn at 4x saving you about 22 minutes over the 2x burn

i guess what im saying is that if you got a fast burner, why settle burning at a fraction of the top speed?

Hey, my burner can only go at 4x max for write and 2x max for rewrite (crappy burner, it came with my computer), so it doesn't really matter.

Plus, it's just for personal backups, it's not like I need to burn a lot of the time anyways.
