it's a win-win situation but unfortunately politicians goals usaily involve manipulating the publics emotions to further thier own cause by putting embryonic stem cells on the discussion rather than the better choice
So if another country used embryonic stem cells to discover a cure to a crippling disease would America say no to the application of the cure in their own country?

Me too, it it's just a clump of cells I won't consider it a human being yet unless it grows brain cells either.

on the other hand If someone somewhere finds a way to turn any cell back into a stem cell this whole issue would be put down
