So i downloaded this neat program called CPU-Z and it states that my RAM runs at 400 mhz, instead of 800 mhz... hmmmm





And even the receipt states that it runs at 800 mhz... am i missing something?

I was about to start overclocking my pc but i wan't to make sure if the RAM is actually running at 400 or 800 mhz.

Any ideas?

Well DDR stands for "double data rate". DDR2 SDRAM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So your RAM really is running @ 800Mhz.
Dont worry everything is fine.

It was a good thing i didn't overclocked this yesterday because with the stock cooler this was getting at 61c on full load. ( I did more research when i posted this...)

I will get a new cooler and try to overclock this to 3.6Ghz or something.

Also, since you plan on overclocking, I'll also add this in since it's in the same boat.

On most Intel CPUs (Pentium 4 and later), the FSB is quad pumped. This means, even though your CPU is rated at 1333MHz FSB, that's it's "effective" FSB, so don't be surprised to go and overclock and see it's "real" frequency as 333MHz. It's still as fast as though it were 1333MHz in the traditional sense, but it's 333MHz four times. It makes no real difference, but it's obviously important to know when dealing with the numbers.
