Hiding IP Address over mirc (proxy's?)

What do you use to hide people from seeing your IP if they ping u or send something. I was thinking just using proxy's but i figgured that might screw things up on my fserver, wouldnt it?

you can use a bnc that works pretty much as a proxy

Just connect to a "friend"'s machine via ssh and tunnel your IRC connection through them - they get pinged/sent stuff... not you.

Mostly, BNC's capture all the IRC traffic, so you cant really download stuff through them or serve (from personal experience).

You could get a virtual host address on the network(s) you visit.
