help with valkyrie profile please

Hi all, first post. I am having problems with valkyrie profile. Graphics are fine, it looks fine on various plugins, but the problem is.. it gets stuck.. not frozen, its responsive, but the dialogue does not move forward even though its automatic at the times before this certain spot. The spot is right in the beginning in the intro. I just get into the castle, and at the text "stand, lenneth" it stops, i have tried pushing every button, and nothing happens. I have tweaked alot of video plugin options, and its still stuck, should i look elsewhere beyond video?.. any help is appreciated, thanks
