You can not create ISO but is there any error message when you use CDRWin ?

Help With Chrono Cross in epsxe 1.4 !
The game freezes up at this certain point. Its right after Lynx makes us jump off the cliff. We go to take Kid to a clinic. It fades away, the music plays, but nothing else. I tried pressing F7, but it didn't worked. I've also tried ripping an ISO with CDRWin, but it fails. Is there some special copy protection on this game? Any help with these 2 problems would be appreciated.
Also if anyone could suggest optimum settings for my computer, I would appreciate it.

NEC 7700A CD-RW
NVidia Riva TNT2 M64 32mb AGP card
Creative SoundBlaster Audio PCI card
128mb RAM
