I'm new in all this & I terriblely need help from all of you!

I have pentium 3 , 256mb ram & poor graphic card which i dont even know what its called.

But I am able to play almost all the games except Vagrant Story. It doesnt load at all! Please help!

Then Saga Frontier I have problem with the dialogues as the words are just kept replacing instead of the previous dialogue being emptied/erased first.

& thousand arms the game tend to hang during dates! & the during CG videos, the sound's not smooth instead it's like on & off on & off. I've enable everything in the configurations!

Please help! any reply would be appreciated!

well first find out what videocard you have so you can better pick a video plugin to use, and perhaps upgrade your drivers. go to the desktop, right click properties, and go to the settings tab and it says

it's a intel graphics controller. i've already updated it.
the only difference i got is that the games seem to run too fast at times & sometimes slower.

still unable to play vagrant story & the probs with saga frontier & thousand arms remains.

i just tried playing tales of destiny , it has the same problem i have with saga frontier with the dialogues.

& grandia has the same problem with thousand arms as the CG videos sound is not smooth.

well i'd suggest using Peops soft for a system like that, depending on what speed your P3 is at. if it's above 800 then i think you'll be ok.

the saves are always gone.

when you save, you have to close down the emulator properly, which is to say press escape to exit to the GUI then close that.

oh yeah it works now. thanks again.

a few problems still remains like...

1. thousand arms hangs when dating.(not all the time)
2. CG audio not smooth. (not all games)
3. Vagrant Story not playable at all. (or could it be my cd's problem?)

but saga frontier runs perfectly so far.

are those problems fixable?... though my comp sucks?

the probablem is that your computer is a whole big bunch of crap. have you tried Peops software plugin? also use Eternal Lite instead of the regular Eternal.

thousand arms is very hard to get through in epsxe. you will get constant hanging. i managed to finish it, but it wasn't easy.

edit:
http://forums.ngemu.com/problems-games/19747-help-needed-vagrant-story.html

ignore:
Hi, I've read through many threads here, all the suggestions contained had no effect on my problem.

I am using ePSXe 1.6.0 and tried on PCSX 1.5.
PEOpS soft 1.16 gpu plugin(and Pete's open gl 1.75 and D3d 1.75 and opengl2 2.6)
Eternal Lite 1.41 SPU Core(and epsxe 1.5.2 and peops dsound 1.91)
epsxe WinNt 1.5.2 and Pete's aspi/IOctl 1.10

Okay, no matter what configuration I have tried, I get to the same place and it freezes.
I load up the game. The video and sound work perfectly. I go to main menu, hit new game and it says "Now Loading...", playing a sound. When the sound ends it stays there indefinitely. The game stops(nothing updates, ie fps stays constant at say 49.9 instead of bouncing around between 49.5 and 50.0) and epsxe seems to be in an infinite loop because it is still using cpu.

The vagrant story is an mds/mdf image I've mounted using Daemon tools. Thanks to ECm and 7z it was only 55.2 mb compressed.

right, smells like warez. 7zip is grand, but it cant get a regular image down to 55mb. you probably have a rip where they took out most of the heavy data (like mdecs). those sort of rips are ripe with problems. go buy the game. hey, you live in Nor Cal. i've seen them at Gamestop for 20 bucks. so go get one.
