Help needed - FFxii PCSX2

Hi everybody. I really need your help so thank you in advance.

I am trying to play FFxii. The opening video scene runs quite fast, but when the games starts I am only having 25-28 FPS, and the sound - oh well, it's god damn awful...

Here are my specs - could you please recommend the ideal and optimal configuration? It is soooo confusing and frustrating!!!!

Dell xps m1730 with:
Intel Core 2 Duo T9300(2.5GHz, 800Mhz, 6M L2 Cache)
4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm for XPS M1730
NVIDIA SLI Dual GeForce 8700MGT with 512MB GDDR3 Memory
