Well, I would really apreciate if anybody could help me choosing and configuring plugins for this amazing game. I am using the ISO of the US version. My specifications:

Pentium II-400MHz
64MB RAM PC100
SoundBlaster PCI128
Voodoo2(8MB)
Windows 98

I'm pretty sure Lewpy's Glide is the best GPU, but I don't know how to configure it properly for the game, and I have no idea of which SPU plugin should I use.

configs for lewpys glide pluggin....:


run the game at 640x480 res
set framelimit to auto
framebuffer to write
offscreen drawing to basic

I have heard that setting bilinear filtering off may speed up the game a little, but the game runs the same with or without it for me.... I suggest using bilinear filtering w/out sprites...

everything else can be left alone..... THis is the setting for maximum speed on your system... Use the internal spu first.... then try the others and see if they run better... Personally I use the internal spu for all my games except mgs...

enable spu irq
enable sio irq

IF you run into trouble saving and loading..... press f4, f4 before you save or load for the first time everytime you play the game... With your system, it may be not run full speed.... You could try running the game at lower resolutions then the one I suggested above if its too slow for you.....

Since you have a voodoo card, just use lewpys glide pluggin.. it will run the fastest...

try the internal cd rom pluggin first..... if there are problems, then try petes cd rom pluggin as it seems to work good for most people....

Well,first things first,hello brother .

Now about your plugin config:
About the GPU:sorry I've never used Lewpy's plugin so someone else will have to help you for this.

About the SPU:I'd suggest 2 plugins,either the internal one,or Iori's one,in Iori's SPU just check everythin except"Real time config".

About the CDrom plugin,just take the internal Plugin and it will be all right(don't forget to assign a letter and to configure the plugin).

Now if someone could help my little brother with his Voodoo 2,that would be cool.

(BTW,we're not brothers at al,it's just that he has the name of one of Raziel's brothers in Soul Reaver )

Thx, guys. I am following your advices and everything is ok. I am using 800x600. It slows down a bit, but no problem, the game is stilll playable. I want to ask something: Is SPU irq hack and SIO irq needed? They are both disabled and everything seems to be fine(I haven't played much, though).

Hey, I forgot to ask: does the cdr plugin make any difference when using an iso? The game is great! It runs at 58-60fps normally at 800x600, but there is a big slowdown when I enter a battle. the fps falls to 30, but after the fight begins, it comes back to 58-60! mdecs run at 58-60 also! ePSXe is great! So is Lewpy's glide plugin!

I cannot help u w/ lewpy s plugins cause i m using pete s ones.
But, U can check the spu irq hack but not the sio irq...
It the same as pressing f4...
BTW, u will have a freeze later in the game where the screen goes black.
When u ll be there, press F4 twice...
