I would really appreciate any help with this:

Everytime I start CC, the framerate and music run at a higher speed than normal, regardless of how much I tinker with the FPS Limit, Auto-Detect Limit, or manual FPS limit.

Strangely, though, anytime I enter the menu, the framerate and music return to the normal PSX speed! I'm totally stumped...

Did you enable the FPS limit as well as setting it?

I have somehow the same problem, the only difference is that my CC is running very slow along with the music. If someone knows what can i do please answer

Post your computer specs, plugin settings.

haha, you have a completely different problem. running too fast is far different than running too slow, although you might think not.

Lol, nevermind i already fixed it but know whenever i press triangle and go to the status screen the game frezzes, is this a normal bug?

Use ePSXe 1.5.2

if your using ePSXe 1.6.0, Chrono Cross is known to have issues with this release. You can either use the -noauto command or switch back to ePSXe 1.5.2 like fireblaster said

I tried the 'noauto' thing, as well as switching to 1.5.2. No dice.
