recently i bought a 5900xt card,so i test it

first i installed omega drive 56.72, i run 3dmark2003 two times with no overclock and
overclock, then i change 61.77 official drive,i start the 3DMARK, there's five second clack

screen with hard disc silent, then it beganto loading plane program, after loading, another 5

second black screen, then the test start, finished, move into second test, black screen for

more than 5 minutes,a message pop up" system just recover from device error",then i am

kicked out of 3DMARK,there's an error about target error or sth, there the screen get

messed up.
i restart windows, strange thing is from then on,i cant get into panel of my card, nor can i

play any 3D game, they all result a bit slow down of mouse and finally system reset
i reinstall winxp, no use
i replace the card with 5600, now i can play games and i can go to nvidia panel.
then i put 5900xt back in place, it is allright now.
but if i run 3DMARK again, same thing just happens...
i dont know why, please help
btw, the card works just fine and can run 3DMARK on another machine
but i doubt it is because the device is loose

but i begin to wonder: why it WAS ok, al i can guess is after so many different driver, sth is modified that even hard disc format can't deal with... i am thinking about bios...was there a bios virus, or sth deep in bios was modified in order to improve performance?

As for formatting hard drives, in my work we have those (Crapy) Pc, that after formatting HDD there is no possibility to install sound drivers for mobo (integrated sounds) damn it's so silent when I don't use my mp3 player  ;)

Maybe you fried the 5900XT during overclocking? Since your system works fine with the 5600, but the problem keeps arising with the 5900XT. Just my idea on it.
