Has anyone heard of m.u.g.e.n?

This is some software i found by accident, you can download lots of characters, stages (its a fighting game),main menu graphicsm you can customise everything!!!! it's like making a hole new game insted of marvel vs capcom, why not DBZvscapcom?, or street fighter vs simpsons? or waku waku Vs kof? you can also make your own characters with lots of combos and atacks (not a easy job though) It's a dos program and if your computer is fast enough you can also enhance graphics just like the snes9x!!!!(cos without this graphics have quite some pixels....strange enough the light efects don't)....
want any screen shots? here goes...

i know there are another progs that also do this (kof95 or 94 comes to my mind) but this one has better graphics than those...like it? i wopuld post the link but it would sound like i wanted to advertise the program.... if you search in google or something like that you will be sure to find it... (less than 1mb) characters from 100kb to 5.0mb depending on the detail...

great to hear that you got mugen working neo,i love it too,i even added kintaro,goro,baraka and scorpion to the charcter select screen,this is one sweet program.

It'd be sweet if the people who make characters and the like weren't anal. All of these people seem to refuse to allow others to host their characters, and then proceed to drop their sites. This leaves us with a bunch of dead links and no characters.

I'd be happy if even half of the links I've been checking actually had the characters they claimed to, rather than some geocities 404.

Here's an idea for you.

Why don't we do some sort of mailing list or something where we can all list what characters we have/want, addons, stages, whatever. Then we can freely swap crap with eachother rather than digging through millions of dead links and dead end sites. Hell, I'd even be willing to have people email me (or perhaps use private messages here) lists for sorting and matching people up for swapping.

Anyone interested? I sure am. I'm getting sick of all this endless digging for nothing.

hey hadji i agree with you too,i have over 40 characters allready and am adding more stages,i have th marvelvs.capcom2 screenpack which allows up to 80 characters to choose from.

what would be really nice is if someone made a prog like napster but aplyied to mugen!!! or we could use the ones that exist...did someone already tried to search mugen chars and stages in morpheus ( napster look alike but it hosts not only mp3 but anything) ?
we could easly share files that way, sugestions? oh and please anwser if you look in morpheus or any other prog like that and if you found anything.

Links, schminks. Let's swap characters, etc. Here are some of the working ones I have. Note, by working I don't just mean they'll load, but they play properly (the ryuplus character I had didn't seem to have hit-stun animations, so it could do moves out of combos and I consider that 'broken').
