Hmm i wonder if to make a virtual pcsx2 hard disk driver plugin would it work to modify the cdrom plugin and add a extra option to suppourt a ps/2 hard disk image drive, or would pcsx2 have to have extra base api for accessing the hard disk , i was reading over the pcsx2 plugin specifications. I think i will look over peops cdvd iso plugin and see how that interacts with pcsx2 infact ill do that right now and see what i can understand of it.

Opinions on this welcome or ideas as to how it could work.

Actually, you may wish to consider looking at DEV9 which is directly related to HDD and other functions of the PS2's 'addons'. Why on earth would you want to use CDVD for HDD access. Anyhow PS2 HDD emulation is in very early stages of development, and dare I say not a major priority at the moment.

hmmm interesting, thanks for the directional tip. Oh the reason for looking at the cd plugin is that i didnt realize dev9 was related to hard disk access at first, and second having a configuration tab in the cdrom plugin would have been handy for configureing your hard disk. I hope you understand what i was thinking at first ;p i explained in a way i think makes sense.

Dev9 is prety inclusive of alot , sorry for being misinformed about this part of the emulator ck that must have seemed really dumb above my statements , networking and hard disk in one. I was perusing dev9 src and it really is cool.

rup1033, use the edit button and edit your replies instead of double posting which gets allota guys mad around here. but hey, it's okay. nobody's perfect. and its not really important about HDD loadings and all for now because, you have ISO's VCD's and all sorta other stuff to fill that space, and besides you've even your own hard disk so thats no problem

Also Otrivin how about not replying to posts that haven't been touched for 3 days or so, and where obviously dead. No need to revive a thread just so you can 'lay down the law' the mods do that anyhow, and enjoy it with a level of sick perversion I assure you :p
