I tried HL: Source and yes, the water is nice and the bodies move realistically when you shoot them, but there are no other gfx boosts. You'd think they would have at least added the HD pack when they "re-released" it

If you have original HL, you can use this archive. Just extract and run setup.

Nope, they're not using the HD pack for HL:Source simply cause it was made by Gearbox, and not Valve, though nothing prevented them from remaking the models.

that's pretty damn weak. at least they changed, well, EVERYTHING for CS:Source, they should've at least tried for HL:S.

i'm guessing you'd use that coupon when you start a new steam account? go to steampowered.com...

anyway i have not forgotten about half life! i've been playing some lately. i love this game...so far. my friend just beat the game and he showed me some crap at the end of the game...and i forgot how much i hated the end of the game and why i used to cheat

I haven't played Half-Life yet, maybe this summer I'll be able to. The pictures look nice . Considering how old the game is, I don't think it looks that bad.

you should play it, it's wonderful. for being that damn old it's decent looking. the gameplay itself leaves something to be desired though, that's where it shows its age.

I didn't know I was able to play HL1 until I registered my CS copy on Steam . I guess being able to play it (and the other mods) helps justify the price I paid for CS. The only HL mod I've played this year was The Specialists (been playing with N1ghtw0lf) although I tried the very beginning of HL1 yesterday, but only for a minute or less (to get TS to run) .

heh, well. i think the many many many hours of CS, opfor, and HL that i've made on TWO accounts are worth it, i paid $9.99 for the pack of retail CS, HL, opfor, and TFC. and for CS and HL each, i made a steam account :evil:

This pisses me off, I was Near some giant invicible spider thing after the big rock jump platform thingie (heh) and Theres some kind of tunnel then a Load and some kind of Room with no Exit (The spider jumps down there but not in that other room below which you can't get out of..) well thats where I'm stuck and I can't find a freakin way out.. still my save got erased I'll have to start all over again.. *cries*
