I played FFVII only 3 times and I only beaten it once. I don't like playing it because it deoesn't I think its not really artistically pleasing. Thats one of the reasons I don't like playing it. However it has a really cool story and thats the only reason I actually bought it. However it would be nice if they would remake FFVII to look more realistic like FFVIII. Its just my opinion, yeah I know that it cost money but hey why not remaster one of the best games made by Square Soft. ^-^

I didin't know that you could get sephiroth, but if you use a emu with it still crash??

I don't think so. I believe it gives you the same one you control. I could be wrong, though, since I haven't used it.

maybe they should also include sound dialogs, although i suspect that that'l cost too much to be feasible.. they SHOULD make a damn better ending for it though, instead of the hanging way they ended it in the psx/pc.. if that is done.. at least there will be some sort of closure to the game.. and knowing i'll get a much longer ending than the original alone would probably be the only reason i would buy the remake.. hehe.. :p

Eww, I hated the graphical design of FF VIII. It's one of the reasons why I never replayed that game, besides the obvious gameplay flaws and such. I thought the (anime-style) graphics in FF VII was perfect, with detailed characters in battles and simplistic models in the world map and towns. None of this realistic shit. If anything they should re-sample the backgrounds in higher resolution, or make the entire game 3D.

Still, I don't thnk they're going to put too much effort into graphical improvements. Remember the remakes of FF4, 5, 6 and Chrono Trigger? They didn't make any graphical improvements for those games, they only added FMVs.

As for my favourite weapon it'd have to be the Ultima weapon in FF VII (followed by the Rainbow weapon in CT). I believe the weapon boss for FF VIII also carried this sword (or something that looks similar to it).

well, just remember how they ported ff7 and ff8 to pc, no game improvements whatsoever.. not even new textures.. just better looking fmvs (for ff8), and of course the higher res.. which was probably more as an offshoot .. but gawd.. CTRL+Q or ALT-F4 to quit? :heh:

And if they did, I would complain. I wouldn't buy PS2 in order to play a clone of what I can get in PSX. Even simple custumers await for more (by simple, I mean people who don't care too much about details and such).

1997... Voodoo was just born, if I can recall (actually I don't even remember what I had for lunch...), and it was only available for it. When the version not requiring any accel boards was out, it was too late.
