Start with What you talking about? The FAQs at gamefaqs are just as relevant to B-spec mode.

hmm. ill be more clear.

the problem is, i put the car i use, a fully upgraded subaru imprezza that i put up in the gt 4 screenshots thread, into the Japan Championship race (the first one that u shud see when u go to Japan events). Whereas i can easily win, when i go into b-spec, i can never win :(. im aware of the 1-5 for speed settings as well as pushing triangle to go between push, steady and overtake, but isnt there a way i can just leave it running with an initial setting and have the computer play for me? I sorta wanna go do smthn else while i earn money ^^

i guess what im looking for is more like a get-rich-quick-thru-b-spec mode guide...

EDIT: i put all the best parts on the car im using too. and even when im watching it and constantly changing modes and speeds according to the track im losing ....

I usually just leave it on 5; there doesn't seem to be a big difference in speed between the settings. You do have to compensate for the lack of aggression/risk with B-Spec so if your car is upgraded to the max, you may have to use a different car.

What i usually do in B-spec mode is start off each race on 4 with the overtake mode on until i reach the front of the pack. Most of the time i stay at 4 and go into the map mode (R1) and triple the speed of the race (L1 + right or left d pad to change the speed of the race). If your car is superior to the competiton, staying at 3 or 4 should be no problem. The only time i use 5 is when my car is battle for first near the end of the race any other time i just use the overtake function. The only reason i can think of either using 1 or 2 is when you're in an endurance race and you're well ahead in the race and you're trying to preserve the wear on the tires to get more laps in between pit stops. Hope this helps some. :D

thanks for the tips guys. so basically i can just leave it at one setting insteaad of having to watch it all the time. good stuff.

is there any particular race series that offers particularly good rewards?

The Skyline specific races are good ones to do. You get an expensive tuned skyline at the end which you can flog off for a bomb then win again.

Yep. Once you complete all the races in the series, you get the car. You then select a race from the series and you can clear your records to win hte car again.

I started with one. Imported a load of cash from GT3, bought a cheapo '94 one IIRC and souped the bollox off it
