Hey guyz. First post, I hope I dun break any rulez and make myself clear with my question. :))
K, it's Gran Turismo 2 the GT mode (not arcade). It's running perfectly, but I didn't have music when driving, and only in the menus. So I enabled XA sound in Config->Sound, but the game became kinda choppy and the music too. I tried both ePSXe 1.60's sound plugin and Pete's DSound plug in - with Pete's it wasn't so choppy but it still was annoying.

My PC Specz:
1.7Ghz Celeron
GF4 MX440 64 mb
256 DDR
Sound card - Creative SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit

So what could be the problem ?

Have you tried PEOPs Dsound (the successor to Pete's DSound), or Eternal SPU?

what are your video settings? your video could be going slow and that's messing up your music.

I'm using Pete's OpenGL plugin and the settings are set to "Nice". Btw I meant PEOP's DSound plugin, yes the same problem with it. Now I tried Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 and it's agan choppy. :\

Post your GPU/SPU settings.
First off, are you running off a CD? If not, create an image for it.

Settings for the Eternal: SPUasync, Smooth with a buffer of 40.
Leave it to the 'Nice' preset. Adjusting dithering or filtering might affect gameplay performance.
