I just got the game, trading in GT 1 and a coulple other games. I get some slowdown 10-20 fps drop, when cars hit me, and when i slide off the road into the dirt. What could be the problem. Otherwise, the game runs smoothly at 60 fps. I didn't have this problem with GT 1.

I don't get any slow down in GT2 with this setup on my TNT2 ultra overclocked @ 162mhz engine & 212mhz memory. If you still get the slowdown try Framebuffer texture on 1(black). Also this may not be the best filtering, but I don't think that'll effect slowdowns.

thnax for the response. the problem was that the vibration option was on, but the controller doesn't support it, so i couldn't figure out why there was slowdown when nothing 'special' appeared to be happening.
