While I'm playing Suikoden 2, the graphics and sound effects are fine while there isnt any actual music, but as soon as mucis starts to play I get kinda laggy both graphically and sound-wise. Any idea what is wrong? Also, I have tried the troubleshooting section, but to no avail.

you cant get the D3d or OGL plugins to work? how are they not working for you, do they trigger an error message or something? can you also tell us what O/S you are running on?

well since you are using a dual core cpu you most likely need to set epsxe's cpu affinity to only one core in the task manager (only if using version 1.5.2/.1.6.0, this does not apply to 1.7.0), and install this AMD fix that is for some of their dual core models. you will want to do both things i just mentioned, as both could be causing two separate performance problems.

ok so i tried it and it runs too fast, so i just put on the fram limiter right?

ok sorry trying to update as i go, it seems that the opening sequence works perfectly, but the game is VERY laggy and has no sound. I'm using D3D on NICE and spu Eternal with all of the configurations that strike105x said i should try.
