Gonetz is a great programmer, but one really has to question the decision to use the Glide API. You can't buy voodoo cards anymore, and no nvidia / ati card has a good Glide implementation. Beyond that, OpenGL can do everything that Glide can do, so why use it? I understand his desire to use Glide because he thinks it's a great API and all, but using an API that next to no one can practically use, and that number decreases every day, is really kind of loony.
Beyond that, there's a very good reason that 3dfx went under. Their chipsets were so bad that they needed
four of them on one card just to be able to do 3d at any reasonable level and to compete with their competitors. This is an absolutely fantastic plugin, but it needs to be ported to OpenGL before it can be truly useful.
