Trying to run ePSXe on my brand new Dell (P4, Samsung DVD/CDR) .. now I think the CD-Rom drive is the standard all singing all dancing dvd/cdr/cdrom drive they're throwing in all the new Dell boxes.

Since ePSXe lets me try one config of one CD-Rom driver at a time before I have to reboot, I'm beginning to lose hope of managing to find a combination that will work!

Has anyone else got this machine, or this CD-Rom drive, and knows what the settings should be, and which plugin? If so, let me know I'm getting panicky 'ere :D

For those of you who know your CDRom stuff, it's a Samsung 308B CDR/DVD

Any thoughts appreciated :D

Still confoosed.

To clarify :

Using Pete's ASPI and the internal ASPI I can get as far as starting the game in, say, FF7 .. when it comes time to play a movie, it dies.

I think my prob is just with playing movies so far... apparently my drive has problems with raw reading?

Okay, new problem.

I gave up on that CD Rom drive, got me another CD Rom drive, and now I'm using that instead.

NOW I can play movies in Bleem or VGS, but in ePSXe, all I get is the sound, and no picture.

Any ideas?
