Considering that ole DW doesn't have an AGP slot in this rig, you can kiss our 5200 arse as well :lol:ChrisRay said:Kiss my 5200's arse.
Which is nothing more than a "slightly" overclocked FX 5200.. why they put 256MB on those cards I'll never know.. marketing I suppose.makotech222 said:meh i just got a geforce 5500 fx256mb

It may be crap in terms of performance on high end machines, but considering our PCI only interface...It allows us to game / emu on par with other rigs..
Perhaps when finances improve..we will retire our 5200 with something of a PCI Express flavor, but for now it does the job..and for $75 we cannot complain :thumb:
i usually underclock my videocard for when im not gaming by using radlinker's profiles (down to 270/270)My 9800 Pro and 6800GT generate more heat than a microwave oven. Room tempatures are always a battle.
so... did you use any extra coolings/heatsink?ChrisRay said:No seriously. It was more of an experiment if anything. People have said the PCI interface will bottleneck the card from ever performing remotely decent. And overclocking would be useless. Actually OCing the card made a substancial difference. Even WoW. It may not be the best card there is. But I was able to get 25-30is FPS @ 1024x768 with 2xAF in WoW. So the card can play games better than I thought. With the OC. I was able to do 2xAA/2xAF with 20ish FPS in WoW. Which was still playable. There are advantages to low end cards. My 9800 Pro and 6800GT generate more heat than a microwave oven. Room tempatures are always a battle.
