yes, one has DDR3 RAM which is much faster and overall better.
rite now im on an integrated igp my r9500 prod died and with this ****ty mx440 im getting crazy -_- should i expect a big diference
i think the difference between the 6600 and 6600gt is not only the ram but also the number of pipelines each card has (12 and 16 respectively iirc). if you had the choice of either, id definately go with the 6600gt

yes, you will see a massive difference. the 6800 is just a bit faster than the 6600GT. when i got my 6800 i saw a HUGE difference over the 5600...literally twice the performance in many cases.
I think you'll find that's the 6800 series you're thinking of Eternal. IIRC the 6600 series all have 8 pipes

No.. they both have 8 pipes. Only difference is memory bandwidth, and that's a big difference. 900-1GHz as opposed to 500MHz of 128-bit DDR.

A vanilla 6600 should be about as fast or marginally faster than the 9600XT, though it trails it in memory bandwidth by a small amount.
Yes, as other said, take 6600GT anyday. Its HELLUVA lot faster than standard 6600.
yeah, the 6600GT is definetly faster than the pain 6600, however most 6600 overclocks pretty good, specially the core.
yeah but plain 6600 has DDR memory and GT has much faster DDR3. so it's worth getting a GT.
i will be getting it soon thx all for advice
