In Half-Life 2 at least, the 6200 beats out hte 5900XT in the DX9 codepath. In Dx8 the results aren't so skewed (the NV3x cards were crippled in DX9), and it shows to be somewhere between the 9550 and the 9600XT

think of it like the fx5200 in the sense that its as good as the low end of the previous generation card. like the fx5200 is rated performance wise to a gf4 mx. and the 6200 being equated to a 5900xt.

it may have the new ffeatures and such, but performance wise, its not that great, and it probably wont be able to handle games like hl2 using these new special features

just go 6800 ultra.. or GT, they are on par or better than X800 XT
I don't know but somebody who is asking for a 6200 means that the 6800 or X800 are a little farther from their budget.

Hey Kai Hansen, the 6200 is an entry level card so don't expect much from it although it's performance is about the same as a 5900XT.
If you have a low budget then a 6600 would be a good choice since the core on that baby will overclock like crazy from 300-500, and it retails for about 100-150$. And don't forget that 6200 is a PCIe part only, nVidia has no plans watsoever to release a bridged down AGP part of that one.
