Gaming Gloves?

1470 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  dr.dino
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there are any special gloves out there which are specially made for gaming and gamers. Specifically, my issue is that I want to keep my gamepads in pristine condition and don't want the sweat and oil on my hands to ruin the condition of my gamepads. So any suggestions on this sort of thing would be very helpful because for the moment, I've wrapped my gamepads in plastic bags and use them with plastic bags on them, but it does slightly interfere with effective gameplay.

why not using those gloves from gym? :D should be good for it, and some times gamepad gets bit heavy ;)

what about gamepad buttons?? how do you care about them? don't push it because pushing makes damage to them

ok no more laughing ;)

I heard from my buddy that there are gloves for use witch computer mause :) dunno about gloves for gamepads :)
Try this!

You might be interested in driving gloves or motorcycle gloves. I recommend the fingerless kind. You can find all kinds of styles in both leather and synthetic materials. I have several pares. They work great... especially for driving! But they are also fantastic for any activity that requires a good grip.

Before you make a decision, find what is most comfortable for you. My personal style is leather (black or gray) with a deep thumb groove, wrist strap (with silver clasp) and reinforced knuckle edge (studs are optional with this. Personally I wouldn’t do anything too flashy. Just some brass drops... good for that extra sting... if you know what I mean)

For gaming, you may want a synthetic base with a thin palm, with enhanced side grip. An integrated wrist guard may also be a good idea. (Black with red piping looks great on synthetics. But that’s just my opinion ;) )

If you are worried about sweat, get something with a ventilation strip or pattern. Also you can buy controllers with special cooling to prevent this. Nyco Air Flo is a good bet and I’ve heard good things about them. http://www.nyko.com/

are you using standard $25 controllers?
Hmm...strange. Do you suffer from extreme sweaty palms? The reason why we ask is because we own controllers older then most of the members here, and we have never experienced any complications as a result of oils or sweat. Sure..every now and then we wipe them down for cleanliness, but other then that we have never had a problem.

We did manage to find these for you

I'm not saying my gamepads are acting buggy or malfunctioning or anything as a result of sweaty palms, I'm just simply wanting to preverse the condition and cleanliness of my gamepads. And thanks for the mention of the game skinz, but why do they not cover the entire hand? The material looks like it might be perfect and really comfortable, but I would want full glove.
