I don't have this problem at all, and no problems with any of my other games either. You may wish to play around with your configuration a bit. Mine is just a standard pete's opengl, pete's dsound, and scph1001 bios, nothing at all special set for this specific game.

That sound strange ....

I didn't change any configuration, just replace the EXE with the new 1.40 and also epsxexecutor.

May I ask for your CD-ROM setting? Did you enable 'Accurate CD-ROM timing' or other options?
