Move save point to after meeting Yuna
I downloaded the save file you gave GabeJacobs, but it give me the "No FFX save data found" or whatever.
I also cant seem to run FFXED to edit my own, it just gives me a "cannot run" error.
I've got a Mac 10.6.8 and the latest mac version of java but it won't work.
I'm having the usual freeze-after-yuna thing and was wondering if you could mod my save file to the closest one post-yuna meeting.

No, sorry, I'm trying to get past the Yuna Freeze in the Besaid temple in FFX. Hoping this conversion guru can help me.

There is only one save at gamefaq for that game and it's for the Japanese version of the game
Since you said that any version is ok,then here
PHONOReason I uploaded two saves for GabeJacobs
The first one is for the USA version(which you have)and the second is the same save but maded to work on hit PAL version of the game.
You probably downloaded the PAL save.
And about your problem,did you tried switching to software mode before the freeze.
If you want me to pass that problematic for you place,you must be more specific.

And about FFXED...I can't help you with it because you are not on windows

PERFECT! It worked as NTSC. I thought I'd tried both.
My game freezes about 3-4 seconds after the FMV where Yuna comes out of the Besaid temple summoner room and says "I've done it! I've become a summoner!" (when you first meet Yuna)
Once it cuts back to gameplay graphics there is a sweeping pan shot from the main room of the Besaid temple as the group comes out of the Cloister, and it freezes just after that shot begins. (possibly a little overly-detailed)
My current save is in the Crusaders Lodge just before going into the Cloister to "rescue" Yuna.
Only issue is I would like to play through myself. The save you made for GabeJacobs has 9999HP&MP, 9999999999Gil, 98S.lvl etc.
If I attach my memcard can you move the save file in slot 18 to whatever save point is closest after that?
By the way, Boss Hog, this is all severely appreciated.
PS. I don't know how to switch between hardware & software mode. I'm off to figure that out.

The first time I tried it (pressing f4 in-game) my fps doubled (~61 to ~121-123) and the game immediately froze.
The second time my fps didn't double, but the game froze & all geometry except the background (sand & surf) began to flash.
I was still able, however, to press esc and exit pcsx smoothly, I didn't have to force quit.
Also, before trying the hardware/software switch I played up until Yuna got on the boat and said "Goodbye."
Then it froze again. :facepalm:

F4 is frame limit on\off,not switch between hardware and software mode.
The key to switch HW\SW mode is F9(the speed will go down when you switch if your pc is not powerful enough.
And btw I tried your card yesterday but are you sure your are uploading the correct card.
There are two saves inside and the one with longer play time have the coordinates for the beginning of the game but it says Besaid Beach
The other save(with less play time)says Besaid Crusaders

Im quite sure I uploaded the correct one.
I've got three cards in the memcards folder within the pcsx.app contents, the first one has my current game in the crusaders tent on besaid (18) & a savepoint in zanarkand (20), the third has the dl'd card for GabeJacobs, and the second an original unused card. As you can see in the screenshot, I have mcd001.ps2 as the first card & mcd003.ps2 as the second.
from the memcards folder I copied the card to the desktop & compressed it. I'll attach that file for consistency's sake. (also took a screenshot, though probably unnecessary)
the in-game screenshot is the file I wanted modded; slot #18 at 1:42. The one below it is the save file I had to use to get past the first FMV freeze ("Auron Look" I think)

I kinda expected it not to work, I'm on a macbook pro running 10.6.8

Hmm,I forgot that you are not on windows...the F9(switching between SW\HW modes)is GSdx thing and you are not using it.
Ok,I'll look at the save(I though that the save you are playing is that with longer play time but I guess not)

Thanks! great job.
Only problem is, I still don't know how to fix 2 issues.
My sphere grid is unusable (check the SS, its been that way since I got that original FFXED file to get around the first FMV)
And for some reason, the graphics issues I'd gotten around by downloading ZZ ogl PG 0.1.0 are back (except missing menu interface items like the arrow on the new game/load screen).
I dont know if you can tell in the second screenshot, but those polygons flash in & out of view constantly.
I don't know if those are issues that could be fixed in the save file or not, but I think I'm going to have to download a different save point anyway. None of the others do that.

I see the problems but I doubt there is a fix for them.
You are not on windows and the plugin you are using is way below the compatibility of GSdx(which have a lot more fixes for tons of games)
