Game Trouble.

Hey Everyone, I am new to the emulator deal and I just go my ePSXe to work and I have installed all the proper plug-ins (i think) and i am now trying to run FF7, I got it to work, for the most part, but the sound is real cachy and the speed is immensly too fast, how do i change this? Bc everything moves too quickly, even the vids, and my battle menus are screwy, any help works, ty.
