Whenever I start a game, it makes it to the sony entertainment of america screen and freezes. I've waited for a about 30 mins for the screen to change, but had no luck. Any help would be appreciated

well in the future make sure you say that in your initial post so you are not linked to the FAQ right away. anyway have you tried finding out if the problem is stemming from a damaged disc or badly-ripped image (depending on which you are playing from)?

Of course. I've been working on the config for epsxe for about three days now. I was able to run Austin Powers Pinball (For all that's worth) and have been working to run legend of the dragoon ever since. I either get a black screen or "Sony Entertainment of America Presents" screen every time.

right but what format is that image in? .bin/.cue, .ccd/.img/.sub, .iso, etc.etc.?

either make a new one in a format like .ccd/.img/.sub or see if the game disc itself does the same thing or not. if the game disc works fine, then make a new image like i said earlier, if it does not work either, then you could be looking at a damaged disc. any images made from one could have the same problems (not always though, its just a possibility in some cases, usually revolves around how extensive the damage is).
