Capcom and Namco, becouse most of the games I play are made by them

AAAAAH did not mention Konami... or are we talking only fighters here? Anywayz Namco and Capcom for me (Xenosaga and RE). My other fav would be Id, Blizzard, EA, Ubisoft (POP), Valve and some more.

IIRC Atari are dead. The name was bought out in order to entice old skool gamers, but it's just part of an established large company, IIRC.
Looking at ATARI's homepage, I'd suggest that they are just a division of Infogrames

IMO, Konami makes some of the best games (the MGS series comes to mind).

Capcom, Konami, DMA Design (Scotland pwns j00).

Konami already gave me a lot of great games on the NES, just like Nintendo did.

Also I can add Taito and Technos for some great games and Acclaim. All dating from my NES times

currently I enjoy the work of Bioware/Black Isle (baldur's gate series), Namco for Soul Calibur.

And last but not least Squaresoft (never played a Square-Enix game).

GameArts deserves to be named as well because of Grandia 2

- silent hill series
- winning eleven / pro evolution soccer / international superstar soccer series
- metal gear series
- castlevania series
- contra and many other "groundbreaking" games of all types

I'll agree with you that Sega is the best, although I'm not bothering with Sakura Taisen until they either bring it out in english or I learn enough japanese to understand the story. But, is it just me, or has the quality of Sega's games been lacking lately? The Sonic Team hasn't brought out a decent game since Phantasy Star Online. AM-2 just released some major crap with the Virtua Fighter label slapped on it. Really, Sega hasn't released anything that great since VF4. It's a good thing they've got Shining Tears coming up in the pipeline or I might be losing faith in them right about now.

Well, even if they're not doing so great now I still have a lot of respect for Sega. They've been pumping out quality games for years, so I'm not going to give up on them because of a little slump. But seriously guys, how about a sequal to Skies of Arcadia? Please?

A sequel to SOA?? Plz no, I don't think the story and world it is situated in is suited for a follow up. Vyse already saved the world from some evil bunch of ppl, and the experience of the game was nice. Though I found the story to be very cliché.... The way they brought the story was original with the airship and islands concept. I think that's the only thing they could use again.
