Doesn't work. Buttons will stop working when you are in the starting grid. Name entry didn't work either.

Note:
Are you using a keyboard?
OR
A gamepad?

Try pressing F5 on your keyboard.

I use keyboard and pressing F5 didn't help.

Luckily I have the original PS1-console.

have you tried PSXeven or SSSPSX and a pad plugin?
