possibly, no, undoubtedly repeating a thread that was already around, but when I searched for stuff involving it through the boards and the readme, I didn't find anything that helped, so I'll just start a new thread.....
Anyway, my problems are with Final Fantasy VII and IX, as well as Metal Gear Solid....while I'm playing (I'll get to the specific scenes in a little bit), the game just crashes out completely, no opcode error or anything...
Scenes this happens in:
FF7: Right as one of those AVALANCHE members (I think wedge, the fat one, you know, him
) blows up the door out of a, sewer I guess, immediately after you bomb the first reactor...this is where a FMV should be playing, so maybe it's that....
FF9: Immediately after the Festival of the Hunt, when you're about to go eat before setting out for Burmecia...after the screen from the throne room is fading to the dining room, it crashes....
Metal Gear Solid: When you're talking to Donald Anderson, as it's about to switch to Snake's apparent Flashback of Metal Gear, it crashes....
My system specs are pitiful compared to what I've seen you guys have, but what can I say, I'm a cheap bastard....
600 Mhz Celeron
15 Gigs HD (does that really matter?)
192 Megs RAM (whatever clock speed goes with 600 mhz, I think PC 100)
Windows ME, if that's relevant...
I've used all the video plugins that came with PSEmu that I now try with ePSXe, as well as Pete's D3D v. 1.5 and Segu's latest D3D driver...
I'm using the internal SPU, though I've also tried Pete's latest Directsound driver, as well as the Seal 0.8 driver and the Kazzuya driver that came with PSEmu before I downloaded ePSXe....
That's pretty much it...I've tweaked with every option on every plugin I've mentioned, but to no avail....oh, and please don't get mad at me if I'm repeating a post, I didn't see a working answer on the readme, or the boards.
