Enjoy my fellow pokemon gamer whores!

The PokéWalker (Japanese: ポケウォーカー PokéWalker) is a pedometer, separate from the Nintendo DS systems, that allows player connect with a compatible Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver to transfer and exchange Pokémon from their DS card to this hardware device. The PokéWalker is just like a real pedometer, that counts each step a person takes by detecting the motion of their hips, while recording each step and adding it to the experience of a deposited Pokémon. It will be bundled with Japanese version with Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver when they are purchased, however it is unknown whether it will be bundled with English version of the game.

The PokéWalker has both the shape and colors of a regular Poké Ball. It is about 4.8 centimeters in diameter, 13.9 millimeters thick, and will weigh about 21 gram. It has three buttons and a black and white, monochrome interface. It will allow players of HeartGold and SoulSilver to connect wirelessly with a Nintendo DS system, and deposit one Pokémon there. The deposited Pokémon will then be able to gain experience and happiness as players walks around.

This pedometer is the remake of Pokémon Pikachu 2, which is a toy that can be used to obtain Mystery Gifts in Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Similar to that toy, the PokéWalker will use the currency Watt (W); Watts will be obtained at random as steps are taken. By using Watts, PokéWalker players can use the Poké Radar and Itemfinder devices to catch wild Pokémon and find special items, respectively. These can be sent to HeartGold and SoulSilver.

And here is the picture of said pedometer:

As a pokemon gamer whore myself, I am freaking excited about using this! I would be able to take care of my pokemon and carry it around with me in my pockets or in my purse. I just think this is cool. You guys might just think I'm crazy. But, discuss! :D

lol "pedo" meter...

The more little kids you inappropriately touch the faster your pokemanz level up!

But seriously, this is a very targeted product.

"Do you like pokemon? Do you like to keep track of your walking distances on a day-to-day basis? If so, then this is the pedometer for you!"

Lol, but it will incorporate into the SoulSilver and HeartGold games. While you walk around, they will gain experience and it makes them happy. With gaining more experience just by walking, I think that'd be great. More kids will be getting in shape by walking more and also they don't have to spend much time on the DS to train your pokemon. You can also battle trainers too with this thing I think.

Smart kids will put this on their dog when they put him outside to go run around and then apply the gained experience at the end of the day.

The smarter kids would just stay on the couch and shake this thing vigorously... :p So nope, I think it ain't gonna make kids go out and run. It'll wear their arms out if there's a chance.

Plus we're in 2009 already... why the hell do we still have monotone LCDs with chipping sounds? And a Pokeball design for the case, too... I feel ripped off. :innocent:
