hi, i just wanted to tell you the your opengl and your d3d plugins are great. only problem is that their transperancy. in suikoden2.
transperancy with your soft driver is ok until you use battle oath, which then goes solid and all horrible. i will get some pics up so i can show you ;)

here is the pic i promised. at the top you can see two shots. one with a great ugly green column (using pete soft) next to how it should look (using kazz's soft. i don't use kazz's 'cause its too slow).

under that there is the menu transperancy using petes opengl (occurs on petes d3d as well), next to that how the menu should look (using petes soft.)

anyone got any ideas on how to fix it? i use vgs, but would like to take advantage of epsxe's save state function.....
I had a similar prob with FF7 but it was with the finger-cursor (sprite-graphic). Try setting the Texture Quality to R8 G8 B8 A8.
ummmmm, i've tried everything you could possibly think of ;)
I honestly think that this can only be fixed using code :D
not that i'm telling anyone to do it.
I think you should stick to VGS when playing this game. The battles aren't that hard anyway IMO.

Hey, why did u said that Kazz is slow? for me is the fastest software plugin, only is a little incompatible but that´s all
si_ok buddy,
I have the same problem when I play Super Robot War. The Robot is transperancy. The left impage is when I use Pete's OpenGL or D3D plug in, the right image is when I use Pete's soft driver.
ok, lemme clarify some things. each of pete's d3d, opengl and soft drivers have transperancy probs. using pete's soft givs the best graphics, but alas some transperancy problems in using battle magic. as you can see from the pic above comparing kazz'z soft and petes soft. with opengl and d3d, those battle magics don't render properly and the menu transperancy is [email protected]*ked. but i would like to use them because of their speed (y'know, using soft plugins uses up system resources and until i can get more ram its bloody slow.)

as with kazz soft being slow, well, i would us it if the frameskip option was a little more compatible (like in petes plugins)

ps, i am not flaming(tho its sound like it doesn't it?:D )
(y'know, using soft plugins uses up system resources and until i can get more ram its bloody slow.)
Actually software rendering plugins are likely to use much less memory than hw accelerated ones.
If you want better speed you should get a faster CPU, provided that you have enough RAM (128MB) to avoid too much virtual memory disk swapping.

ehe I haven't been testing fskip for a long time. Infact I almost got rid of it.
I'm curious.. what CPU do you have ?

baubau
my pc is a PIII 533mhz 128m ram running Win98se with a nvida vanta video card on detanator 3 drivers.

few:D what a mouthful :)
533 is not bad. I have an Ahtlon 600 and speed seems OK here.. athough I don't really play any emulated game.

I was almost thinking of trying render in hires, but I'll leave that for when 2GHz CPUs are the norm 8)
