Well I was bored so I put a bunch of my spare parts together to build a new computer to replace my old P3 450 MHz that I have had forever it seems. This new (well old) computer is mainly used as a spare and for the kids.

The basic specs are ..

My old Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe -

My old Athlon 2400+ overclocked @ 2.2 GHz (usually 2.0 GHz) for a little fun.

512 DDR 3200 ram

SBLive 5.1

and GeForce FX 5200 (sucks but does the job)

Ok onto the monitor fixing I mentioned in the title .. well I have this older 19 inch CRT but it is pretty blurry and a little too dark even with the brigtness up. So I did a google search for a way to fix it and came across this guide ..

So I took the outer case off of my monitor and did the tweaks with a screwdriver to the Focus and Brightness and now it is like brand new!

So overall It was a good day for the spare computer and it is now usable once again and the kids like to use emulation and the P3 450 MHz just wasn't cutting it anymore. :D
