I was just wondering is there anyone who uses ePSXe version 1.0.0 and can anybody tell me how does that version work.

This is a little stupid question considering that there is now much better version like 1.6.0 and 1.7.0,but is it possible to play games at normal speed on that version? And what about the sound?

I don't know...I just love trying these old versions.Anyone knows when ePSXe 1.0.0 has been released btw?

I started using ePSXe when It was v1.0.1 and it was much better than 1.0.0 (1998 maybe), I could say that started really encouraging from version 1.2.0

While there are cases where an older version can be better then a newer one (ePSXe 1.5.2 for example over ePSXe 1.6.0) it never was the case for the very first version a EMU (any EMU) to be better then he's predecessors. You could still try to read the help file (of ePSXe) to have a general understanding of what happened till ePSXe 1.5.2 since the change logs are in there.

Seriously, 1.0.0? You know that the plugin interface evolved through the years?
Besides lower compatibility with games you will also have incompatibility with newer plugins.

Are you unable to achieve playable speeds on your PC? If yes then give pSX a shot.

I have ePSXe 1.0.0 already for more then 6 years, but never really tryed any games on it.Except once, but didn't really have any luck xD
If I make them work,who knows...maybe I will be using v1.0.0 instead of v1.6.0 or v1.7.0 rofl.Probably not,but hey...you never know :dead::dead::dead:
Anyway,I heard that ePSXe team lost the entire ePSXe code once because the computer stopped to work. And now after soooo long time, they made version 1.7.0.....is that version made from the TOTAL beginning or they DID have the code from v1.6.0 ???Because I heard they lost it...

Why does it matter specifically?
No special reason lol.I just wanna try it out.I would really like to play games under version 1.0.0:D
Sounds stupid I know...^.^ Don't ask me why xD

Then the first version is not needed. Thats like using Win 3.1 to run crysis
ROFLMAO!!!

if playing games is what you want to do i think its best if you ditch the idea of using something that old.

ePSXe 1.0.0 on Windows 95 is the best!!! It rocks!!!

LoL just kidding.Well let's just say that I am one of those who like trying older things.I am not one of those "Hey there is the newest version of Windows Media Player, let's install it I don't care if it's beta!!"

Of course that the ePSXe 1.0.0 is VERY OLD like it's from another century,(heh),but I was just curious. Is there ANYBODY who EVER played any games on it?Most of you used the 1.0.1 or 1.2.0 as the first ePSXe.Anyone played games on 1.0.0? (If it's even possible xD)

Ok now I have one question that I am wondering for a long time already.ePSXe is a great ps1 emulator and it runs almost ANY game at the perfect speed. But I am wondering why ePSXe team don't start making ps2 emulator like ePSXe2.I read many discussions on this subject and saw many ePSXe2 download sections all over the internet, but of course it's all fake.ePSXe team did such a great job on ps1 emulator. Why don't they try on ps2?

This was just a question that I was wondering many many months.Did ePSXe team ever had any comments on this?

Maybe they are working on it this moment, who knows.
I don't know if you heard this but ePSXe authors worked on ePSXe for half a year in a complete silence before they released it.
Yeah.Exactly.Ohh I hate waiting lol...:D
Maybe they made it so good that they do not want to share it with us xD
