does anyone here knows how to bypass firewall(university firewall)
i want to fserve but that damn firewall prevent others from connecting to me
if it is possible then please tell me
if it doesn't ,tell something that will prevent me from gone amok

You can't... pure and simple. In my case here @ home I have a free dial up to the network at work and connect thou' a proxy to access the net just like you setup. The thing here is that the proxy is the gateway to the internet. An analogy is that its the only machine that has a modem and all others are using internet connection sharing. If you diable the proxy then you can't access any external sites.

You could use silentsurf to by pass ure firewall not sure though.try it and let us know

hmm...seems silentsurf is only for http connection
i don't have any prob with that
my prob is others can't connect to me(fserve ,ftp/web server) but i can connect to them
