Thats definitely a scripted ingame dialogue, not a FMV.... otherwise... FF8's fmv's look better.

Anyway the game is looking pretty nice. Not as crisp as I thought it would be, but looking pretty good.

The in-game images... of course. And by the looks of it, the way they capture the in-game images, it would seems like the quality has been toned down quite a bit. Best to use .png format for quick and easy 100% quality capture.

im not impressed with the battle screenshots. they need to work on the lighting.

I can't wait for them Japanese folks to upload the in-game gameplay videos from start to finish. When it is released of course...view in HD!!! It's something to do while waiting for the NA release. And maybe I should replay ffxii or ffx too lol xD.

Looks pretty bland if you ask me. Definitely not that groundbreaking as they want it to be.

Indeed, they never failed to deliver in the graphics department, though got to say until now looking good.

Piss off strike, just look at the battle scene pictures that have a grassy background, you'll see what I mean Bloody hotlink protection.

I still can't believe your complaining about the ground..............The least important texture in the whole pic. Anyway if you've watched the trailers, in places where there is actual high grass, the ground look sexy.

If something takes up a quarter of the screen, it wouldn't be a bad idea to put slightly more effort into it. It looks like Grandia 2 actually, the thing that bothered me the most is that it's completely flat. Why not have it some slight height difference? It just makes it feels much more organic rather than this completely flat texture thingie. It reminded me of the first Phantasy Star Online, that's 10 years ago!

FF14 is getting released simultaneously in all regions so who cares about looking at videos

On a related note, the FFXIV homepage was just updated with some juicy stuff. Mostly some intro info on the usual stuff. No update on any media, but this quenched my thirst...for now :evil:

so when is ffxiii coming out love to play it. for ffxiii also i think it woud be cool if they made it where u could play other players and have 2player mode (i have to share xbox XD)

I havent played in 4 or 5 years for ffx and ffxi suckssssssss so i didnt count it i quit my subscribtion to it.
