Goes through the 3D intro, all characters brown, missing alot of geometry. You can't get to the menus if you view the 3D intro, but you can't get into the pre-game 3D intro if you get through the menus. :( Very slow due to me testing it in Software (float) mode.

I used a game-save downloader from the UK demo disc magazine (PlayStation 2 Official Magazine-UK: Demo Disc 59 [SCED 53162]), to put a FFX save on my memcard. Loaded the save, and could hear music / footsteps as I moved. But can not see anything :(

Same old bug, if you see the games intro 3D you can't get to menus, and if you see no 3D you can get to menus but ingame / pre-game intro are black :(

Getting into the intro / menus / anywhere seems totally random (SIF timing).

To get ingame you need to skip:
INIT SOUND
INIT VOICES

Game will hang on any video, randomly drop into an infiniteloop during a battle.
Game will also sometimes get stuck on CDVDread 0.

Terrain is missing alot of polys, but otherwise game looks perfect elsewhere (though some transparency issues). Game is playable for short periods of time, and battles work perfectly...

Memcards will load fine, and allows me atleast to try different areas, but games is far from stable enough to be called 'playable'.

With MFIFO fixes, this game is not broken, tested this first as linuz requested it, but shall do further extensive testing with this beta later. According to linuz, this fixes Gradius 4. Don't have this game to test :D

Videos still will kill game (need IPU fixes!!!). Game characters / objects are solid again. Terrain is still borky with holes. DVDread 0 bug is causing less problems and game is more likely to pass the read 0's.

Able to go from Cavern of Stolen Faith > Gorge Bottom > Gagazet / Calm Lands intersection > Gagazet > ship > Guaodosalam...before encountering a new bug:

Game no longer needs skip voice / sound init patch, though videos still are not patchable so game stops on first video.

DVDread 0 bug is certainly causing less stops (game is 90% accessable now). Though entering a battle can cause the game to loop.

Now also able to start a new game, sadly first save point is after a video.

Terrain still holey. peops / giga spu2 cause recUNK.
