Just aquired this disc, heard bits about it, and it's rather fascinating :D

You have:

World
Interactive Map of FF7, click on a location, and then explore, with all items highlighted and full shop lists.

Data File
Lots here really, high res images, weapon / item / accessory encyclopida, but most interesting, are the high poly count (High for a PSX) 3D models of various opjects (nice to port these into the standard version and ingame ;) ).

Making

Includes a set of interesting images (note the FF7 SGI demo shot (pre-work intended for the FF7 N64 release)). Also various sketch's, paintings, comic style work, and about 20 versions of the FF7 logo.

Making of Movie as well, showing some stuff that never got into the game (note on the second to last screenshot, cloud drops an 'item', and in the bottom right is a 'save' point. PSOGL031.jpg shows a GIANT barret....etc etc not much else to the disc yet, though it's gonna take alot of exploring as it's all in japanese.

That's great, i never know about this version before.

But is it japanese only? (Since the name is Final Fantasy VII International )

IMO making of movie alone is worth the price (only if we can understand japanese :eyemove: )

yeah, it is japanese only. when i did my homestay in Japan, the girl i stayed with's little brother owned this game. i wanted to buy it but i couldnt find it in stores

the stuff is interesting to read in there too, check out the haadobureikaa (the hard breaker..? it's cloud's sword) and you can check out the stats on it too on the right side. cool stuff.

Would It be possible to rip some of those models? Then you could tuch them up a bit and throw them in games like UT2004. That would be so sweet to run aorund as Cloud.

Well first off i know theres a model of cloud for one of the unreals, saw it awhile ago. secondly i would be more interested in that 3d model of the town, if possible to aquire the rest of the town models someone could make a fairly decent 3d remake which would really be cool.

I knew of it's existance a while ago. Yet, I was never able to get it :( . Thank's for sharing these with us CK ^^ . More pics plz :D

Edit 1 : And that SGI demo was made by Square staff before switching to PSX. They tried to show how much they can do with N64 . They made it with FF6 characters : Locke, Terra and Shadow. There are some clips around the net about it.

Final Fantasy VII Sampler CD [SCUS 94961] (U)

Not quite as fascinating as the International Disc 4, but rather 'novel'.

There are many 'subtle' differences, a blatent one is that Aeris starts in your party. Limit breaks are called 'specials', the music and sound effects seem quite different in many places.

You can't level up / access the main menu etc (this is only a demo afterall). In-battle character models are different, whilst Aeris / Cloud it's minor, Barret is again 'very' different (many of you may of seen the 2 sets of artwork that came out for Barret, if you like this version is kind of a mutant cross between the 2).

The 'Ice 2' magic animation is completely different to the final version of it...etc etc there are alot of changes in dialog / text spacing ..afaik there is a text document listing all the changes etc on gamefaqs...might be worth visiting, I know I am going to ..
