Whats the best resolution to play it in full-screen mode? My moniter is 800 x 600 but it has a border on the top and bottom and squashes the graphics and it's hard to read the text and the sprites look messed up. Thanks in advance. Also I am using epsxe 1.6.0.

play at 640x480 and use a software video plug-in for best quality. you'll have borders around because when u play the game on a real psx u get borders.

Okay everything works now but the 'squashed' problem still remains. Its okay up and down but when you go across, some pixels are doubled up and some are squashed to half a pixel. Hope you know what I mean.

Just use Pete's OpenGL plugin at 640x480 and Keep PSX Aspect Ratio. I used the following settings when I played FFO. There are borders like in Zsnes, but the image is not stretched and distorted. The way I like it. :)

...i really recommend AGAINST "keep PSX aspect ratio". it keeps the internal PSX ratio (like it says) which...well think of it this way. your TV, where PSX games are meant to be played, is a 4:3 ratio. all your games' resolutions are stretched to 4:3. choosing keep the internal ratio, even though it seems to be the "right" way, is not ;)
