Can anyone help me out with this game?

I have come qu's march for the second time,im on disc two,
the walktrough says that im supposed to talk to quina which i did but when go up to the house and go to the right nothing happens,the walktrough says he will smell frogs and take me to the excavation site.
i have the pal version patched.

Have you talked to the Qu in the house?

Try catching a frog with zidane first (if memory is correct) tjis sould get Quina to join you team. Then it should work
