i have come to cleyra's trunk the cyclone thing on the world map

when i enter it the party talk for a while and go north to the next scren and it fades down as normal when you enter a new area but then nothing happen the music plays as normal though

i have tried a older version of epsxe and other graphigs plugins

any sulution on the problem?

try loading it straight off the memory card. or PSXeven. i see thisproblem a lot, hmm...

because I remember another one but it was of a completely different moment in cleyra, so maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Basicaly there are 2 main issues around Clerya. One is caused by savestates. The other is caused by the version floating round the internet.

i've had to do actually a later part in the same area 3 times where the game crashes during Freya's dance. this problem i've seen a couple times at least.

I don't know why ppl have so many problems with Final Fanntasy 9. I've beaten it using EPSXE 3 times, without ANY problems. And I DID used savestates! I have the original FF8 tho!

Maybe its 'cause these ppl use a pirated version of FF9??? I remember there was a pirated version (we all know wich one, neh? the ol "K") wich had some incomplete scenes, making you miss some great moments, and also making VGS and EPSXE glitch like hell!!

Is Johan88 running FF9 from the ISO?

Refering to psicomaniaco, I remembered clearly I DID A SAVE-STATE during a FMV, and when I loaded it and it works perfectly with sound! I was running it through my CD-ROM drive. (Of course, the backup!)

hey johan866, fess up man. i'd really like to know whether this is a problem with the pirated version or actually a legit problem. because hey it could be either. Raziel has tried (im not sure if i believe him though) to tell me he beat FF9 PAL all the way through with ePSXe 1.6.0 and did not experience a crash. i dont believe it because before that, i'd tried using 1.6.0 and i got the 3 famous crashes: dali crash, alexandria-disc-3 crash, and disc 4 game ending crash during lifa tree FMV. but i never got the crash where ive had to fix people's saves like 4 or 5 times already.

Im new here, and I hope to clear up confusion with my problem. . .

I am having the exact same problem at Cleyra. I did the "save to mem card" idea, and it worked. . .for one scene. After I walked Zidane forward (and then it cut to another scene), I got the same problem AGAIN! The memory card thing only worked for one scene

I have one of the first original copies of FF9, I remember I was 16 years old (im 22 now), and i worked @ pizza hut just so i could buy ff9 when it debuted, back in 2000. it was an awesoem game, played beautifuly on my ps and of course i beat it.

Since that time 6 years ago, i have stored my cd's in a black cd case, and have WELL PRESERVED my games. Ive got a couple TINY scratches, but doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary.

What im trying to say is that yes, my copy is not only legit, but in great shape, and I am getting this Cleyra bug too. Very strange :/ I'm using ePSXe 1.5.2. If anyone knows how to get passed the part im at, plz let me know

I updated my epsxe to version 1.6.0, and now its running okay, woot!
