Well what can I say. I am dense. Stupid. Hopeless. Retarded. Whatever. But all these plugins and configuring confuse the HECK outta me. I just wanna get this FF8 ISO working for my ePSXe. Help anyone? Do I need a diff bios? What plugins work? Help? lol

Also when I try to use Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6 for my video plugin, I get this message "No WGL extensions". What does that mean?

Try running from your original CD.

Search. Read hte FAQs, Read my site and don't double post!
Ya thanks man. I actually just changed the stuff on my cd to a .bin file with some program and now it works fine. You gave me the idea. Thanks. Now I just need to get the sound down. I mean, I got it pretty good. But I want it better.
/me screams
well read my post. Hed over to my site: it gives you a config for FF8. *sighs* you have to explain everything these days

perhaps if you described the problem you are having, or tried to solve it yourself. if you went to Kane's site and tried that, and it still doesnt work, you need to mention that. also, mention what plugin you're using...

default settings with Eternal and the FF8 fix works perfectly fine for me.
Ya I tried that eternal one. It worked fine except now when I load a saved state... theres no sound at all.
At which part of the game you made a save state?

Note if your Eternal buffer is large, you might have to wait for some time before the sound loads.

Note the latest Eternal sound plugin is 1.41.

that happens sometimes, like in MGS. there's really nothing you can do about it. PSX games werent meant to have save states. you are just gonna have to live with it.
If you save a state while the SPU is inactive/buggy (or maybe after you changed it), it'll load the same way and you won't get any sound/buggy sound for the rest of the game. I suggest going to the nearest save point and saving and reloading in-game, then saving over that save state.
